How Duke Research is Important to North Carolina

Jennifer Lodge, vice president for research and innovation at Duke University, visited Washington D.C. and met with policymakers to discuss the scientific, economic and societal value of investing in research at Duke and higher education more broadly.

When Duke research is developed and spun out into companies in North Carolina, Lodge said the new companies bring positive economic benefits to the state, including additional jobs for North Carolinians.
