If you’re a Duke staff member who’s ready to take the next step in your Duke journey, the “Your Career at Duke” program can help you chart a path forward.
Your Career at Duke is a series of no-cost hour-long live webinars open to all Duke University and Duke University Health System employees. Led by experts from Duke Human Resources Central Recruitment, the sessions offer best practices for writing a strong résumé, understanding the recruitment and transfer process, and mastering a job interview.
“This is an opportunity for people to learn how to move from one level to the next and how to understand what recruiters and managers are looking for,” said Duke Career Resource Center Education and Training Practitioner Jemma Boler, , who has led the Your Career at Duke program since 2019. “It’s competitive out there, so when you identify an opportunity, you have to apply in a timely manner and be able to present skills in accordance with what the job description is looking for.”
The next sessions are from 5:30-6:30 p.m. April 13, 20 and 27. There are more sessions in June and September. Employees can register for Your Career at Duke by visiting this website. Registration is confidential.
“These trainings will give you a great idea of how the system works,” Boler said. “Employees come away from this understanding what they need to do to move forward.”
