Search Committee Announced for Dean of Divinity School

Norman Wirzba, Gilbert T. Rowe Distinguished Professor of Christian Theology, will chair the search committee for the dean of the Divinity School, President Vincent E. Price and Interim Provost Jennifer Francis announced this week.

Current Dean Edgardo Colόn-Emeric was appointed to a two-year term in 2021. It is university practice to conduct a search to select a dean for a full five-year term.

In addition to Wirzba, the other committee members are:

  • Rick Johnson, Chair, Divinity School Board of Visitors
  • Jen’nan Read, Sally Dalton Robinson Professor, Sociology, Trinity College
  • Patrick Smith, Associate Research Professor, Divinity School
  • Warren Smith, Professor, Divinity School
  • Wylin Wilson, Assistant Professor, Divinity School
