Infographic: Philosophy’s Blind Spot

Infographic || Philosophy’s Blind Spot: Where Are All The Women? || Women constitute only about 30% of all philosophy degree recipients: 31% of bachelor's, 29% of master's and 30% of doctoral. This is despite an increase in the number of doctoral degrees awarded to women over the past two decades. Women continue to comprise one fifth of professional philosophers. And women are less frequently cited in top philosophy publications. Only 19 of 500 (3.6%) of philosophy’s most-cited papers were written by women. || References:'Women in Philosophy,' The American Philosophical Association, 2013.
