DURHAM, N.C. - Blue Devil women's golf head coach Dan Brooks has announced the signing of Celine Boutier to attend Duke University and play golf starting in the fall of 2012.
"I am very excited to add Celine to the roster next season," commented Brooks. "She will bring an important element to the team, which is a great thing to have added to any team. Celine is very excited to be at Duke and wishes she could be here playing now."
Boutier, who is out of Montrogue, France, is one of the top amateur golfers in the country as she is ranked No. 5 nationally in the Polo Golf listing and 13th in the Golfweek/Sagarin Performance Index.
"Celine is very fiery -- I think her greatest attribute is her desire," said Brooks. "I have seen her play her best right at the end of the round or at the end of the tournament -- when she really needs to perform well. She is a closer, someone that can get it done."
