Support Durham through Duke’s ‘Doing Good’ Campaign
Employee giving campaign provides funding for community and nonprofit organizations that enhance education, economic mobility, housing and more

Organized by Duke Community Affairs, Doing Good contributions support community and nonprofit organizations; economic mobility, college access and career readiness; education, early childhood development and school readiness; health nutrition and food security; neighborhoods, housing and infrastructure; and the United Way of the Greater Triangle.
“By giving their time, talent and treasure, employees across Duke University and Duke Health help build a culture of engagement and partnership that advances the health and well-being of our neighboring communities,” said Tuere Bowles, Associate Vice President for Duke Community Affairs.
Employees select the cause they’d like to support and make tax-deductible donations through a one-time gift or payroll deduction with the Duke@Work self-service website. Every dollar donated goes directly to community organizations working in that area.
“I believe it’s important to support our neighbors and strengthen our community,” Sorrell said. “Our employee giving can make a real difference, helping programs and services continue to grow and thrive rather than struggle or disappear because the funding isn’t there to sustain them.”
