JR DeShazo became the Joel L. Fleishman Dean of Duke University's Sanford School of Public Policy this spring. In this video, he talks about what inspired him to get into public policy in the first place, and why it matters now.
“The problems we face are not smaller than they were yesterday, they’re bigger, whether it’s national security, education, the environment,” says DeShazo. “Public policy is more important than ever.”
