Can You 'Fit in 15' This July?
Duke’s employee wellness program challenges staff and faculty to move for 30 minutes a day and earn rewards along the way
The annual Fit in 15 challenge takes place July 6–31, asking participants to log 30 minutes of moderate aerobic activity per day for at least 15 days during the month. Activities such as walking, running, swimming, biking and strength training all qualify.
"Fit in 15 has been a wonderful opportunity for staff and faculty who are looking to challenge themselves to keep moving and overall live a more active lifestyle,” said Carlos Velasquez, a Fitness Specialist for LIVE FOR LIFE.
Registrants will receive weekly motivational emails, information on different forms of aerobic exercise and more. Everyone who completes the challenge requirements earns 50 LIVE FOR LIFE Dollars, a Monopoly-like money that can be used to purchase fitness-related items.
“Anyone looking for that little extra motivational push can find it with this program."
