An Award to Fund Groundbreaking Child and Family Policy Research
The projects include a multi‑phase effort to scale early relational health, an evaluation of a North Carolina initiative that trains early childhood professionals in trauma‑informed care, the development of a professional learning framework for middle and high school ESL teachers, a youth‑centered project to redesign AI‑driven mental health tools for students, and the creation of a digital book‑building platform that supports connections among multilingual learners and their communities.
“This gift is a testament to the more than 25 years of quality work our researchers have been doing at the center to improve the lives of children and families,” said Jennifer E. Lansford, S. Malcolm Gillis Distinguished Research Professor of Public Policy at Duke and director of the Center for Child and Family Policy.
