Winter Weather Advisory for Potential Icy Conditions
Officials do not anticipate activating weather policy
Precipitation in the region has begun to taper off, and Duke does not anticipate activating the severe weather and emergency conditions policy.
Temperatures overnight will remain below freezing until about 10 a.m. Tuesday. Individuals are encouraged to use caution and allow extra time for travel to and from campus Tuesday as icy spots may exist, especially on bridges and elevated surfaces.
The garage roofs will close at 4 p.m. today due to potential icy conditions forming overnight. Crews will inspect these facilities tomorrow to evaluate conditions and confirm safety before reopening any roof levels.
Facilities crews are pretreating high-traffic problem areas and will continue to monitor conditions into tomorrow morning. Bus routes are expected to operate on a normal schedule, but community members should monitor Duke TransLoc for real-time updates on transit routes should conditions change.
