Duke Human Resources offers virtual office hours and information sessions to share details about 2026 health plans

Staff and faculty are invited to join experts from Duke Human Resources for a series of virtual information sessions about medical plan changes and options for 2026.

Open Enrollment for medical benefits is from Oct. 6-24 with coverage starting Jan. 1, 2026. Starting in 2026, administration of all employee health plans will be consolidated under Cigna Healthcare. Along with the five existing medical plans, Duke will introduce a new option: Duke Advantage, a high deductible plan paired with a Health Savings Account (Duke HSA).

The information sessions, which are formal Zoom presentations led by Duke Human Resources experts, will cover benefits changes and 2026 coverage options. Sessions are scheduled for Sept. 8, Sept. 16 and Sept. 30 and attendees will have the opportunity to have questions answered by a Duke Benefits representative.

Staff and faculty who have additional questions about benefits changes or medical, dental, vision and reimbursement benefits for 2026, should attend the “Office Hours” sessions on Zoom on Sept. 10, Sept,. 18 and Oct. 2.
