Early Voting in North Carolina Ends Saturday
In addition to being on campus, early voting at the Karsh site is convenient for people who are unregistered to vote because you can register and vote on the same day during the early voting period. To learn more about what information you must bring for same-day registration and voting, visit the North Carolina Board of Elections website.
Please note that same-day registration is NOT available on Election Day on Nov. 5. People who are unregistered on Nov. 5. will not be able to cast a ballot.
Duke employees and students who live in Wake, Orange and other counties can vote at one of the many early voting sites in their home counties. Early voting locations in counties across North Carolina can be found here.
Before heading to the polls, make sure you have an acceptable form of photo ID. This can include an NC Driver’s License, out of state license if you registered to vote in NC within 90 days of the election, U.S. Passport or Passport Card, an approved DukeCard (students only) and others. Any student who needs an approved DukeCard to vote can pick one up during early voting in the Wilder Building beside Karsh or at the DukeCard Office.
