High School graduations scheduled for Friday, June 9, and Monday, June 12 at Cameron Indoor Stadium will bring an increased volume of vehicular and pedestrian traffic on West Campus.
In all, six Durham Public Schools high school graduation ceremonies will take place over the two days, with the first starting at 9 a.m. Friday and the last slated for 5 p.m. Monday. Guests will park in the Science Drive Garage and the Blue Zone.
While no roads will be closed for the events, expect traffic congestion and delays along Science Drive, Towerview Road, Duke University Road and Cameron Boulevard from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on both days. Faculty, staff and students with parking permits will have regular access to west campus lots and garages, though community members are encouraged to allow for extra travel time and my want to consider using Duke transit to get around campus.
