The track at Morris Williams Stadium will be closed to the public from Monday, May 9 until Sunday, May 15, for the Atlantic Coast Conference’s 2022 Outdoor Track & Field Championship.

Normally a popular spot for walkers and runners, the Morris Williams Stadium track will be closed to allow for Duke and ACC staff members to prepare the space and for athletes to practice and compete.

“With around 900 student-athletes coming and equipment for timing and TV production, there’s an extensive amount of set-up that needs to be done around the track,” said Assistant Athletics Director for Game Operations, Championships and Events Becca Wilusz.

The ACC Championship meet will begin Thursday, May 12 and conclude on Saturday, May 14. Admission is free. If you plan on attending, check out this A-Z guide from Duke Athletics for everything you need to know.
