Paving To Close Section of Oregon Street

Construction between Campus Drive and Erwin Road will occur July 29-30

Beginning Saturday, both lanes of Oregon Street from Campus Drive to Erwin Road will be closed to through traffic due to paving.

The project is expected to begin at 6 a.m. Saturday, July 29, and end by 6 p.m. Sunday, July 30.

During the paving work, the Duke Transit bus stop for the CCX route at Oregon and Pace streets (stop #13018) will not be served; service will be temporarily relocated to Alexander at Pace.

The bus stop will return to its regular location for service on Monday, July 31.

Motorists who typically travel on Oregon Street between Campus Drive and Erwin Road may take Alexander Avenue as an alternate route.

Emergency vehicles will be able to access Oregon Street during the work.

The project is a collaboration between the city of Durham and Duke University.
