Power Outage on Duke's East Campus

Facilities crews are investigating and working on the issue

Update 11:11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 27:

Duke Facilities Management has isolated the cause of the power outage Friday on East Campus and at the Human Resources building at 705 Broad Street. At this time, it appears there was a fault in an electrical cable that feeds power to buildings on East Campus. Buildings are back on line, but electricity to two residence halls may be delayed as crews continue to work to resolve the issue.

Update 9:15 a.m. Friday, Jan. 27:

The power outage appears to be limited to the East Campus quad buildings and 705 Broad Street.

Duke's East Campus, including Human Resources at 705 Broad Street, lost power Friday morning, and facilities crews are working on the issue and investigating the cause.
