Duke Transit Adjustments for Spring 2017

Limited shuttle service will begin to downtown Durham’s Innovation District

The following service enhancements and adjustments will be in effect for Duke Transit, beginning January 9.

Innovation Shuttle – This is a new service that will run Monday through Wednesday during the academic semester. The limited shuttle links the Innovation District in downtown Durham with West Campus. The campus bus stop is at the circle on Science Drive behind Duke University Chapel. The Innovation District will be served at 215 Morris Street at the front entrance of the Imperial Building.

C3: East-Science  – Passengers will note slight modifications to timetables for the C3: Class Change and C3: East–Science routes.

  • The C3: East-Science will be extended to run to 6:51 p.m. After 5 p.m., the C3 will serve Duke University Road and Swift Avenue with no evening service to Campus Drive. Passengers will have new stops at Swift Avenue and Duke University Road for evening C3 service.
  • The C3: Class Change route will return service to Towerview Road in both directions with no service to Campus Drive.

LL: LaSalle Loop – Passengers will note a change to the morning service with the peak express bus beginning 10 minutes earlier at 7:50 a.m.

C2: East-Central-West – Minor schedule modifications at 11:25 a.m., 1:10 a.m. and 4:25 p.m. offer more time at the Gilbert-Addoms bus stop to allow for enhanced class change service.

Also, an occasional Swift Express will offer morning service Monday through Thursday to C routes. The Swift Express, visible only in TransLoc when in service, will pick up passengers along Swift Avenue at Hull Avenue, Campus Drive and Duke University Road and drop at the West Campus bus stop.
