Flags Lowered in Remembrance of Pearl Harbor Day

Duke, state and US flags will be lowered today in memory of Pearl Harbor Day, Dec. 7, 1941, and the Americans who gave their lives in the battle that brought the country into World War II.

The move follows the request of NC Gov. Pat McCrory, who ordered all US and state flags at state facilites be lowered to half-staff from sunrise to sunset today. By tradition, Duke follows the state's flag requests.
