President Richard H. Brodhead poses with sophomore Jason Brovich after the two voted at the on-campus early voting site at the Devil’s Den at 309 Oregon St. Monday.

Brodhead, his wife Cynthia and Brovich were among the more than 500 people who voted Monday, when the site’s hours were shortened because of Halloween. To date, 3,317 people have voted at the Devil’s Den. (You can follow the vote count here.)

Early voting continues through Saturday, Nov. 5, at the Devil’s Den. The Duke site is open 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. daily except for the last day Saturday, which runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Election day is Tuesday, Nov. 8.

The Devil’s Den site is open to Durham County residents. If you are not yet registered but live in Durham County, you can register and vote during the early voting period only. Although the recent state Voter ID law was struck down, people wanting to register during early voting still need to bring some identification offering proof of residence.

If you need transportation to the voting site, there are several options.  Duke Transit will provide free campus and health system shuttles for early voting at the Devil's Den on Oregon Street. Click here for the schedule.

In addition, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Nov. 5, a limited number of $5 Uber discount vouchers are available for voters only traveling to the Devil’s Den for voting purposes. To access the discount, use Uber code: BLUEDEVILVOTINGEVENT.
