Join the Duke Symphony Orchestra for a Picnic and Pops Concert Sunday
This Labor Day weekend tradition marks the opening of the Duke Symphony Orchestra's 2016-2017 season with a popular pops concert at 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 4, outside on the East Campus lawn in front of Baldwin Auditorium.
Under the leadership of conductor Harry Davidson, the symphony will perform music from Broadway and popular movies as well as lighter works by American composers and patriotic fare. Concertgoers are encourage to bring a picnic meal to this outdoor concert and the Duke Symphony Orchestra.
If it rains, the concert will be moved to Wednesday, Sept. 7, in Baldwin Auditorium.
