“Molly is the perfect person for this position,” said Keith Whitfield, current vice provost for academic affairs. He is leaving this summer to become provost of Wayne State University.

“Her background, knowledge, and creativity on assessment will make her invaluable to our schools and faculty. I feel confident and comfortable that she will do an outstanding job and Duke will continue to improve and benefit from our assessment activities,” Whitfield said.

Goldwasser currently serves as assistant vice provost and manager of institutional assessment and accreditation in the academic affairs office, where she assists Duke academic units with assessment and the SACS accreditation process.

Goldwasser earned a bachelor's degree in public policy studies from Duke University, a master's degree in curriculum and instruction from the University of Mississippi and a doctorate of education in education leadership and policy from Vanderbilt's Peabody College.

Most of her work, research and education background centers around issues of access to and equity in education.
