#Duke2019; TEDxDuke: The Week at Duke {in 60 Seconds}

Welcome to the Week at Duke in 60 Seconds. 

Congratulations to the new Class of 2019! Duke sent out its regular decision letters on Thursday to admitted students. 

Last week, students attended the Big Event sponsored by the Duke Annual Fund. There were snacks and games, and students pitched in to write 173 thank-you notes to alumni donors. 

Students, faculty and staff will give talks this weekend at TEDxDuke 2015. Following the popular TEDx format, they'll talk about "Building Energy." 

Restoration of Duke Chapel is scheduled to begin May 11 and last for about a year. Workers will restore the chapel’s ceiling and replace the original roof. 

Finally, the Duke faculty booklist for spring is now out. New faculty books explore topics ranging from architecture to religious history to media studies.
