Duke Parking and Transportation Services will adjust its transit schedule and parking lot availability during winter break, which extends from Monday, Dec. 15 to Jan. 4.
During the winter break, most Duke University Hospital bus routes will maintain regular service. The C1 bus route will not be available during this time, and the C2 route will discontinue service daily at 9 p.m.
No transit services, including van services, will operate on Christmas or New Year's Day, and there will be no weekend campus service until all routes return to their regular schedule on Jan. 5. A full list of bus schedule adjustments during winter break is available here.
Parking availability on campus during the Christmas and New Year’s holidays will also be adjusted as follows:
- Monday, Dec. 22 and Tuesday, Dec. 23: PG1, PG2, PG3 and Research Drive Garage will operate on a regular schedule
- Wednesday, Dec. 24 to Friday,Dec. 26: PG1, PG2, PG3 and Research Drive Garage will be closed, offering free parking
- Saturday, Dec. 27 to Tuesday, Dec. 30: PG1, PG2, PG3 and Research Drive Garage will operate on a regular schedule
- Wednesday, Dec. 31 to Thursday, Jan. 1: PG1, PG2, PG3 and Research Drive Garage will be closed, offering free parking
PG4 will have free parking from Dec. 24 to Jan. 1, except for times when special events occur. During special events, fees will be charged for parking. The regular parking schedule will resume on Friday, Jan 2.

The Duke Clinic parking office will be closed from Dec. 24 to Jan. 2. The 2010 Campus Dr. office will be closed from Dec. 24 to Dec. 28 and on Dec. 31 and Jan. 1. The office will reopen on Friday, Jan. 2.
