Last week, we said goodbye to the Duke Lemur Center’s Jovian, better known as Zoboomafoo. Jovian passed away at the ripe old lemur age of 20, and millions shared their many happy memories of him online.

Duke Chapel held its first ever jazz vespers service last week. The service combined traditional liturgy with improvisational jazz from the John Brown Big Band.

Computer science expert Landon Cox does not expect recent credit card security breeches to have an effect on the holiday purchasing season. His best advice? Pay with cash when possible and shop at stores instead of online.

 Finally, Duke Kunshan University celebrated its official campus opening on Monday. The event began with a traditional “lion dance” and included leaders from Duke and Wuhan Universities, as well as guests from China.
