C2, H5 Bus Routes Impacted by Construction

Both routes will take detours on campus through July

Due to ongoing construction along Campus Drive and the West Campus traffic circle, Parking and Transportation Services will detour the C2 and H5 bus routes through the end of July.

Main changes will take place for the C2 route between East and West campuses, while the H5 will be impacted between Erwin Square and Duke Hospital. Duke community members are encouraged to get use the closest nearby stops available along the detour routes.

Duke Vans will service ADA passengers upon request from Campus Drive at the Office of Undergraduate Admissions to and from Duke Chapel as long as access is available to van drivers.

Impacts to Duke buses will occur as follows:

June 23 to 29C2 and H5 routes will not serve West Campus Chapel stop and will detour along Campus Drive and Flowers Drive. West Campus will be serviced by stops on Campus Drive at the Office of Undergraduate Admissions (C2) and the Flowers Drive stop behind the Allen Building (H5).  See this map for details.

June 30 to July 13Duke Transit C2 and H5 routes will not serve West Campus Chapel stop and will reroute along Campus Drive. See this map for details.

July 14 to 27C2 will return service to the West Campus Chapel stop. Campus Drive will be closed from Chapel Drive to Anderson Street, so the C2 will be detoured along Flowers Drive during this period.

The H5 will return to normal service, however West Campus will be served from the Flowers Drive stop behind the Allen Building.  See this map for details.

Other Related DetoursCampus Drive closures between Main and Oregon streets, as well as related Swift Avenue closures, are in effect through July 14.

From East Campus, the C2 will be rerouted to and from Erwin Road. Passengers who are typically picked up at Swift Avenue and Smith Warehouse will be shuttled by Duke Vans to East Campus from Swift at Caswell Place and from the Maxwell Street stop at Smith Warehouse.

Duke community members are encouraged to check the Transloc app for real-time transit route information and stop arrival times.
