Duke Graduate a Leader on Big Bang Inflation Theory Discovery

A Duke graduate played a big role in the extraordinary recent findings that appear to confirm inflationary theory and provide a glimpse of the universe just after the Big Bang occurred. Jamie Bock studied mathematics and physics at Duke in the 1980s and went on to obtain his Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley. Bock is now a professor of physics at Caltech, where he's been involved with the BICEP program since its inception 13 years ago.

Phys.org interviewed Bock about his participation in the BICEP program and its recent findings here. More information about the results are available here.
