Blobe wins grant for translational research

Gerard Blobe, M.D. Ph.D, a professor of pharmacology and cancer biology, has been awarded a $250,000, two-year "Reach Award" from the Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for childhood cancer. He is one of twelve recipients of the new award, which is intended to help innovative ideas reach the clinic. Blobe is investigating the role of stromal cells in neuroblastoma, the most common cancer of infancy.
