First-year students at Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School in Singapore gathered Monday afternoon for a unit on cellular and signaling elements of the nervous system. Their class on "Molecules and Cells" emphasizes team-based learning, with students working in groups to solve problems. The approach, used widely at Duke-NUS, has also been adopted by medical and other classes at Duke's home campus in Durham.
