Traffic Advisory: Yearby Avenue Construction

Adjustments to Duke transit buses on Yearby on June 5 to 7

Motorists who travel along Yearby Avenue will need to adjust their routes June 5 to 7.

Beginning at 8:15 a.m. June 5, construction will begin on a 55-feet section of Yearby Avenue near Flowers Drive to repair asphalt. The work, which runs to June 7, will not allow for full through traffic along Yearby between Anderson Street and Flowers Drive.

While crews are at work, access to the DN and H lots will remain open for all permit holders. There will be an adjustment to Duke transit bus routes that normally travel along Yearby Avenue:

  • The H3 route will pick-up and drop-off on Flowers Drive instead of Yearby.
  • The C2 route will not make its regular stop on Yearby until after construction is complete.

Construction crews will be stationed at the Yearby-Flowers and Yearby-Anderson intersections to help control traffic during workdays. For a map of the project, click here.
