Summer Parking Changes Start May 13

Duke community members can park in several lots with a valid parking permit

With the academic year over, students, faculty and staff have several new options for parking on campus. Parking and Transportation Services has opened up select lots where Duke community members with a valid parking permit are permitted to park at any time. Summertime parking options will be in effect May 13 to Aug. 11, unless noted otherwise.

Valid Duke permits can be used to park in the following lots and zones during the summer:

Blue and Red zone permits are also valid on Central Campus. All other lots and garages will have normally enforced year-round permit requirements.

Students who are gone for summer break are able to leave Duke-registered vehicles in one parking area of the Blue Zone Lot that is located to the left of the Blue Zone entrance, closest to the Duke University Road iron gates. Because there are special events held near the Blue Zone over summer, vehicles left in any other Blue Zone area may be towed at the owner's expense.

In addition to the change in parking restrictions, Parking and Transportation will also adjust bus schedules for the summer.
