Parking Information for 2013 Commencement

All parking lots on campus will be open and available for parking without charge throughout 2013 Commencement Weekend, May 10 to 12.

Parking is on a first-come basis, so motorists should allow plenty of time for parking before events. Guests may be dropped off in front of all event venues. Uniformed officials will offer information, directions and other assistance throughout the weekend. A complete schedule of events is found at the Duke Commencement Weekend website.

Accessible Parking

Persons with disabilities may be driven to the entrance of each venue, but their vehicles must be parked elsewhere. Officers will provide detailed instructions at major event locations. It's strongly recommend that persons needing assistance allow extra arrival time prior to events.

Persons with disabilities attending Baccalaureate Services on May 10 or 11 may be dropped off inside the Chapel Quad. Their drivers must park the cars elsewhere.

Drop-off areas at Wallace Wade Stadium for Graduation Exercises on Sunday, May 12, are:

Wallace Wade Stadium North Gate - Follow Whitford Drive to Cameron Indoor Stadium

Wallace Wade Stadium East Gate - Off Wannamaker Drive behind the Sheffield Tennis Center

Golf carts will be available May 12 to transport individuals with mobility issues and their families to the entrances of Wallace Wade Stadium. Due to safety concerns, the golf carts cannot be driven inside the stadium. The carts will be found in the following parking areas:

Blue Zone Lots - Off Wannamaker Drive

Card Gymnasium Lot - Off Towerview Road

Frank Bassett Drive - Off Science Drive

Grounds Lot - Off N.C. Highway 751

Whitford Drive - Off Science Drive

Accessible bus transportation to commencement exercises will be provided from these hotels:
