Traffic Advisory: Construction Along Campus Drive

One-lane traffic expected through the summer

A construction project that began in December along Campus Drive will continue through the summer, and motorists traveling along Campus Drive may experience travel delays.

Facilities Management restarted a scheduled project on Campus Drive last week to install piping from West Campus to assist in the cooling of buildings on East Campus. Spots along the one-mile stretch on Campus Drive from the 147 overpass to the traffic circle that connects it with Wannamaker, Flowers and Chapel drives will be reduced to one lane throughout the summer.

Three crews are working 24-hours a day Monday to Saturday to install piping. The process includes tearing up the road and laying pipe.

During work hours, crews will be on-hand to direct traffic. Temporary stoplights have also been set up to assist with traffic flow.
