Duke Carbon Offsets Initiative Internship Opportunities

Work to help Duke University meet its commitment to carbon neutrality by 2024

Interested students are encouraged to apply for several DCOI internship openings.

Internship #1 - The Duke Carbon Offsets Initiative (DCOI) is seeking an intern to help with a variety of on-the-ground carbon offsets projects, including swine waste methane capture, energy efficiency, and forestry. The ideal candidate will have some experience with carbon offset projects and skills in data analysis. This is a paid part-time position for 8-10 hours per week.Internship #2 - The Duke Carbon Offsets Initiative is seeking to hire one undergraduate student for a part-time (10 hours per week) paid internship to help examine the greenhouse gas emission reductions resulting from energy efficiency upgrades to homes and businesses in and around Durham. Duties will include hands-on energy efficiency work, data collection and analysis, and background research. Applicants should have an interest in energy issues and have experience with data analysis; ideally, candidates will be familiar with energy efficiency measures. Seniors and juniors are preferred, but all are encouraged to apply.
