The Little School at Duke is scheduled to open in September 2012.

Durham, NC - On the morning of Monday, May 7, enrollment will open for The Little School at Duke, the new on-site child care center scheduled to open in September 2012.

Information about the center's curriculum, tuition, and the enrollment process will be posted on the homepage of the Duke Human Resources website the morning of May 7.

Faculty, staff and graduate students interested in enrolling their child or children should complete an enrollment form and submit it with a non-refundable $35 application fee to The Little School beginning Monday, May 7.

The enrollment form and fee can be submitted online through a link available on the HR website next week, mailed or delivered directly to The Little School's current location at 301 College Park Road, Hillsborough, N.C., 27278.

Enrollment will be offered on a first-come, first served basis for the available spots for children between the ages of three months to six years. Once the spots are filled, children will be placed on a wait list for entry, and parents will be notified once a space becomes available.

The new facility on Hull Avenue near Central Campus will more than double Duke's existing capacity for on-site childcare. The tuition and fees for The Little School at Duke will be the same as the tuition and fees at Duke's existing on-site child care facility, the Duke Children's Campus, which is managed by Bright Horizons. Duke parents seeking child care can also find priority placement at 37 area facilities through the Duke Child Care Partnership.

For more information about The Little School at Duke or the enrollment process, contact Mary Swanson, director of admissions for The Little School, at or (919) 644-1818.
