Nominate A Coworker Or Group For Diversity Award
Submissions for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion award due by April 2
The Office for Institutional Equity is currently accepting nominations for its fall 2012 Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Award.
The award, which is presented twice a year in the spring and fall, recognizes exceptional commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion through development or involvement in projects and initiatives at Duke. The deadline for submission of nominees for the spring award is Monday, April 2.
Nominations can be made for faculty, staff or teams of employees. Submissions consist of a written response highlighting how a nominee demonstrates a high regard for diversity and inclusion by exhibiting one or both of the following:
- A commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion through the development of, or involvement in, tangible strategies like projects or initiatives.
- Behavior which illustrates leadership and commitment to the inclusion of others, such as members of traditionally underrepresented groups in key workplace activities and/or initiatives.
Recipients of the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Award will also become candidates for the annual Duke University Blue Ribbon Diversity Award.
