Duke Operating on Normal Schedule Monday

Crews to treat, clear problem roads, sidewalks and walkways in early morning

Duke officials have continued to monitor the weather and road conditions on campus throughout the evening and expect to operate on a normal schedule on Monday.

Currently, about a half inch of snow has fallen on campus and little if any additional accumulation is expected through the night. Facilities crews will be responding in the early morning hours to treat and clear problem roads, sidewalks and entrances before the beginning of first shift.

Individuals are still urged to use extreme caution when traveling to and around campus tomorrow morning. Temperatures are expected to rise above freezing around 9 a.m. Monday, and conditions should continue to improve during the day. All Duke parking permit holders should park in their designated lots tomorrow. For more information about Duke's severe weather and emergency conditions plan, please visit the DukeALERT website.
