tentchapel620.jpg

Rachel Revelle (pink shorts), Nadia El-Shaarawi
(dark blue skirt), Amber Diaz, Leonard Ng'eno and Roshni Jain place 4,400 paper
tents in front of the Chapel Quad Tuesday to promote the 2012 Winter Forum on
"Refugees, Rights and Resettlement."

Students and staff from the Kenan Institute for Ethics are publicizing the
event, in which faculty and students will hear speakers and engage in discussions
concerning various issues affecting the lives of the estimated 43.7 million
refugees in the world.  Each tent
represented 10,000 refugees.

The 2012 Winter Forum will cover the
practical and ethical challenges posed by displacement. For more
information about the forum, visit undergraduateddean.duke.edu/winterforum.
