As part of a regular review process, Human Resources has updated the online HR Policy Manual with several changes to policies or procedures. The updates include the addition of a new policy regarding Protected Health Information and Patient Privacy. The policy expands upon the Confidentiality policy, which has also been updated to reflect the change, and provides specific details regarding the management of protected health information and patient privacy, including definitions, reporting responsibilities, process and corrective action. The update also includes changes to the Harassment and Discrimination policy to be consistent with the language from the Office of Institutional Equity, which maintains the policy, and the addition of Duke University Health System positions eligible for premium pay.
