In celebration of Father's Day, Duke's employee wellness
program is hosting a recipe contest Friday at the Duke Farmers Market. The
contest invites fathers (or other men) who are Duke staff or faculty to release
their inner Bobby Flay and submit a recipe for their favorite creation.

"One of our goals is to attract more men to the market to
help them make lifestyle changes for healthier lives," said Diana Monroe,
coordinator for Duke Farmers Market and health education specialist for LIVE
FOR LIFE
, the wellness program.

The rules? Participants must visit the LIVE FOR LIFE booth
at the market Friday and complete a contest entry form with the recipe.

And, Monroe, said, "The recipe has to have to fruit or
vegetable as a main ingredient."

LIVE FOR LIFE's registered dietician will review the recipes
Monday, June 20, and select two winning recipes based on "creativity,
tastefulness and healthfulness," Monroe said. Each winner will receive a $10 coupon
for goods at the Duke Farmers Market, and of course, boasting rights.

In addition, two recipe contestants will be randomly
selected to win a fresh produce basket from the market.

May the best men win.
