Duke sponsors free 2-week transition-to-school program for kindergarteners

Duke University's Office of Durham and Regional Affairs has begun registering students for its two-week Stepping Stones programs to take place at Lakewood Elementary and E.K. Powe Elementary Schools this July.

Stepping Stones is a free two-week, transition-to-school summer program for incoming kindergarteners with little or no preschool experience. The program is sponsored by Duke University.

Stepping Stones will take place at Lakewood Elementary from July 12-23 and at E.K. Powe Elementary from July 19-30. The program meets at the school from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.
