Duke in Pictures: Springternational 2010

Annual celebrations brought students to West Campus in wonderful weather

Students dance during the annual Springternational celebration on West Campus Friday under sunny skies and unusually warm weather. The event showcases the many international cultures at Duke through food, music and cultural performances and through presentations by student groups.

The event -- the university's largest international festival of the year -- continues to grow, reflecting the increasing international reach of the university and the range of cultures that Duke attracts.

Among the performances were the Irish Dance Group, Duke Chinese Dance, the a cappella group Speak of the Devil and the Korean Dance Group. Hoof 'n' Horn, Duke's student musical theater group, sang Broadway songs.

For more photos from the festival, see a slideshow on the Student Affairs website.

Pictured below, students from the Asian Student Association talk with others about their group's activities. More than three dozen student groups participated in the event.
