A live webcast scheduled for 10 a.m. this morning with Tim Profeta, the director of Duke's Nicholas Institute for Environmental Policy Solutions, has been canceled due to a snowstorm and logistical problems in Copenhagen, site of the United Nations Climate Change Conference. (Go to the webcast.)

Profeta is part of a delegation of more than 20 Duke faculty, staff and students attending the conference. The group is posting comments and observations on the Nicholas School's "Good COP, Bad COP" blog. During the conference, the Nicholas Institute has hosted two side events in Copenhagen.

Profeta, who specializes in environmental law, policy and politics, and has been closely following the progress of climate legislation in Congress, was scheduled to do a live question-and-answer session with "Office Hours" viewers about the conference. In September, he testified before Congress on the design of carbon markets. Prior coming to Duke in 2005, he served as counsel for the environment to Sen. Joseph Lieberman; in that role, he was a principal architect of the Lieberman-McCain Climate Stewardship Act of 2003.
