During Reaccreditation, Don't Touch Those Links

During SACS review, university documentation requires live links

Duke University is in the process of seeking reaffirmation of accreditation from its regional accrediting body, the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). This process includes the submission of report in which we demonstrate compliance with 81 core requirements, comprehensive standards and federal regulations.

Duke's documentation of compliance includes many hundreds of links to Duke websites. It is imperative that current URLs remain active from now until the end of March, throughout the accreditor's review process. Vice Provost Judith Ruderman, Duke University's liaison to SACS, said that if change in a Duke unit's URL is necessary, the integrity of the current link should be preserved by redirecting it to the new URL.

A list of URLs is provided on the Office of the Provost home page for accreditation. If you have any questions, call 684-3296 or email Ruderman at judith.ruderman@duke.edu.
