Berndt Mueller Receiving Physics Honor

Theoretical physicist cited for research and leadership

Berndt Mueller, James B. Duke professor of physics and former dean of natural sciences, has been selected for this year's Jesse W. Beams Award from the American Physical Society's southeastern section.

 

He is being honored for his contributions to theoretical nuclear physics and his leadership in drawing international attention to the region's physics programs. The award will be presented Nov. 9 in Nashville, Tenn.
