Promoting graduate and professional education

Special event in Bryan Center links undergrad students with school recruiters

Representatives from more than 100 schools with graduate, business, law, and health professions programs will be at Duke on Thursday, Oct. 19, for the biannual Graduate and Professional School Day (GPSD). The event will be held in the Bryan Center from 10 am to 4 pm.

GPSD brings Duke students and recent graduates together with recruiters from schools from throughout the United States. "Undergraduates and alumni have an opportunity to consult informally with admissions representatives about their specific institutions and about the benefits of graduate and/or professional study in general," said Trinity College Associate Dean Norman Keul. "Our students will be able to explore a rich variety of academic options and use the representatives as a sounding board to help them plan their futures."

Trinity College Dean Robert J. Thompson, vice provost for undergraduate education, said GPSD "provides our students with an opportunity to both envision and explore possibilities for their continued intellectual and personal growth after Duke."
