Discounts on State Fair Tickets
Employees can get discounts on ride, admissions tickets
Between Sept. 29 and Oct. 1, Duke faculty and staff can get a discount on admission and ride tickets for the 2005 North Carolina State Fair, which will take place Oct. 14 “ 23 at the N.C. State Fairgrounds in Raleigh.
Duke employees can get a $1 discount off of the normal admission price of $6 for adults and $2 for children. In addition a sheet of 24 ride coupons, which normally cost $18, will be sold for $9.
Discount tickets will be sold to Duke faculty and staff showing a valid Duke ID between 6:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the following locations:
¢ Wednesday, Sept. 28, outside the Duke Hospital Atrium cafeteria
¢ Thursday, Sept. 29, in 1531 Duke Clinics, Blue Zone (across from the Medical Center Human Resources office)
¢ Friday, Sept. 30, at the Staff & Family Programs office in 154 Trent Hall (across from the School of Nursing).
Children 5 and under and senior citizens over 65 are admitted free every day.
Payment must be cash or check, made payable to N.C. State Fair. No refunds or exchanges will be made.
