Visitor Robbed Of Keys and Cell Phone On Campus

A 16-year-old boy was robbed of his keys and cell phone Saturday night as he walked on the Duke University campus at Towerview and Circuit drives.

The boy, who was visiting campus with his parents for the Virginia Tech-Duke football game, was not injured in the 8:40 p.m. incident, said Duke Police Lt. Davis Trimmer.

He was walking alone when three men between the ages of 18 and 22 years old approached, pressed an object against his neck and demanded money, Trimmer said. The men were last seen running toward Erwin Road.
