Advisory: Procedures for Media During the First Days of War or a Code Red Alert

Media will need proper credentials when visiting the Duke campus

During the first days of a war with Iraq, or should the terrorism alert status be elevated to Code Red by the Department of Homeland Security, any media wishing to visit Duke during this time needs to pick up credentials at the Office of News and Communications, 615 Chapel Drive. Vehicle access to campus will be restricted, and parking for media will be available behind the News and Communications building. Media will be required to walk from there. Please check the main Duke Web site for any updated information.

A list of Duke experts available to comment about the war in Iraq, as well as a sampling of faculty-authored op-eds and other media-related information, can be found at http://www.dukenews.duke.edu/iraq/index.html.
