Black and Latino Organization Hosts Leadership Conference

Conference focuses on how individual behavior within a corporation affects the community at large

 

DURHAM, N.C. -- The Black and Latino MBA Organization at Duke University's Fuqua School of Business will host its second annual leadership conference on Saturday, Feb. 8.

This year's conference theme, "360‚ Development: Individual Empowerment and Corporate Responsibility Drive Social Change," focuses on the manner in which individual behavior within a corporation affects the community at large.

The day's events will begin with a keynote address from Keith Clinksales, founder of Vanguarde Media, which publishes Honey, Heart and Soul, Savoy and Impact magazines. The conference will feature a discussion on socially responsible business, led by J. Gregory Dees, a Fuqua professor and leading researcher in the field of sustainable social enterprise. Top-level executives from Fortune 50 companies will share their views on corporate governance, and regional entrepreneurs will relay their experiences leading innovative and global organizations.
