Duke's Parking and Transportation Services provides bus service at no charge throughout campus and the medical center, transporting 3.6 million people annually. As part of its efforts become a climate neutral campus, Duke also offers programs to encourage individuals to explore alternative transportation options through discount bus passes, a bike loan program, a car rental program, and discount parking permits for ridesharing in a carpool or vanpool. There's also the free Bull City Connector, which connects Duke's medical and academic campus with downtown Durham.
